What is it about summer?

I got the urge to write again today.  Nothing in particular has inspired me.  From looking at my last post, it seems to come at about this time of the year (summer).

I suppose that I can report that our marriage is great, we are closer than ever.

This year we decided that since her grandparents are allowed (forced) to stay with us, we will make this a year of "side hustle" exploration in attempts to broaden our interests, skill sets and income.  I thoroughly enjoy having her grandparents live with us and they are most welcome to remain as far as I am concerned.

M wishes to become one of what I refer to as the "glittering rich" via means of youtube popularity and childrens book authorship.  Obviously, this is most unlikely that she will be successful, but she has developed skills in photoshop, photography and English.  She is also being pushed into independence with regards to a 1 credit hour class she wanted to sign up for this summer, for which I starkly refuse to write her essays.

For myself, I am pursuing (very haltingly) financial education and related certifications.  This entails first receiving my Life Insurance sales license (annuities are a possibility) and then using that to qualify myself towards CFEI (certified financial education instructor).  I can then use this to develop my own independent coursework and market it to parents or companies.

On another front, I've taken up my 3d modeling again, this time harnessing it into a patreon account.  I model a miniature spaceship for 3d printing, and the subscribers are billed for the money.  Expanding on that, I've began copying my models in resin and will soon have a business in selling them.  I have already acquired a sales representative/investor for the project, as well as for the associated ruleset that I've developed for it.

All of these endeavors are pivoting on the starting of our business entity, which we will use to deduct our expenses in order to save money on our taxes.  Since we are currently in the second-to-top bracket, this should amount to significantly less overall government donation/waste.

So, in summary, things are good, still recommending Ukraine for wife material.  Any updates from the rest of you?

Tattoos

One HUGE difference between here and Ukraine is the lack of girls (and more guys) with visible tattoos.  Some guys are into girls with ink, but let's face it, most tattoos are put on for the "art" and not meant to signify something you would like to have on your body permanently the rest of your life.  An example of a respectable decision to get a tattoo would be an army unit you served in.

When the tattoo get's faded and blurred, am I going to appreciate that it once looked like an insect landed on your buttcrack?  Probably not.  Why did you feel the urgent need to have the outline of a T-rex skull on your bicep?  You probably still don't know.  Your baby's footprints on the back of your neck?  That's what you keep out of sight for yourself but want your (in the best case scenario) loyal husband to view if he's ever mounting you from behind?  Get out of here.

Everyone and (literally) their grandma seem to be getting tattooS (plural) these days.  If you're female you know that having healthy looking skin increases your attractiveness, so purposely denigrating yourself in such a manner reduces the chances that a male of higher social quality will pick you up.

M has expressed no interest in getting a tattoo (save offering to have "Property of E" on her buttocks) and has expressed that girls who had any tattooing in Ukraine are "weird beyond the tattoo".

As it's often quoted elsewhere, "Men want debt free virgins with no tattoos."  Too scarce a resource for certain.

In Memory of Scott and WWS

As I alluded in my previous post, one of the catalysts involved in my sudden appearance is the lapsing of a blog that shaped my in my formative youth, which I will refer to as WWS.  It's a rather caustic title that was and even more-so in today's day and age still true.  As I do like my job currently and the number of interests currently out to destroy people in the war against Truth and Beauty are many, I kindly ask you not to list it in completion here (and I will be editing comments to do so).

With that said, WWS and Scott (the primary author) was the most interactive experience I had on the blogosphere during my college years.  Posting under the moniker, Youngblood, after graduation and trepidatious searching through Eastern Europe for my wife, I documented my own journey and provided insights from my perspective which I am sorry to be lost to the internet.

Nothing lasts forever, but here I would like to memorialize what Scott did for me, and for "MAN"kind in general.  He was, perhaps, a small player in the great affairs of our time who most may not know or remember.  For my part, however, the burden of Truth and the appreciation of Beauty that his work instilled in me helped to mold my life and guide me through pivotal transitions.  I can't place the blame entirely on him, but much of the happiness and satisfaction in my life is his fault.

It's your fault Scott.

I don't know if this blog will ever get any more readers, but if you knew Scott and his blog at WWS, would you please share something about how he influenced your life?

And on the extremely slim possibility that you are Scott, and you see this, I'm not going to appeal to you to reply, as neither am I going to obligate myself to carry the torch.  If it happens it happens.

Over 3 years ago I posted last on this blog.  Business, apathy or something else I can't describe has kept me from putting my hands on the keyboard and stroking even a few lines.  So why now?

I think the catalyst is twofold.  The first is the fall of the website Scott used to maintain (WWS, you know what the abbreviation means if you were there) and the fall of another game, alt-right dissident blog.  As I am wont to tell M these days from interactions with her friends, the war on Truth and Beauty (not coined by me) incurs more and more casualties.  This blog may even become one of those.

I attempted to purchase the WWS domain on namecheap, but someone beat me to it and now holds the domain for ransom.  I do not have the energy to attempt a negotiation, but on the unlikely chance that you are or know the owner, please consider allowing me to purchase the domain.  I would like to maintain it here and preserve, if possible, some of the works of Scott that I thought most important.

In my own life journey, since my last post I have moved 5 times, bought two houses, had one child (a daughter, Little T) and changed jobs twice.  Our relationship is just as strong, though deeper, and because I know you filthy animals won't ask but really want to know, intimacy is just as often and passionate as it has ever been.

My current job has me traveling varying distances.  I am only obliged to work about 2-3 days per week, but I electively work more on a regular basis.  I like the driving (often over 1 hour each way) as it gives me time to think and decompress after work.  The stories.  All the stories could write a book or two.  How we lived in roach motel while M was pregnant.  Our months of unemployement before.  Small town adventures afterwards.  The joy and challenges of living with her family in close quarters (a very positive experience we will repeat).

I can't say if I'll write more.  It seems to me that I can get hot on a topic for a few weeks/months, then let it simmer on the back burrner for years before picking it up again.  I hope I do, though, because as a community I think it's fun to share our experiences.

Pedal Horse

We're in the process of job hunting, so it's going to be sparse for a while, but my wife shared with me an insult, a "pedal horse".  It means that you're compared to a horse that goes places by using a bicycle (hence the pedals on the bicycle), which means that you're going about something all wrong.

Cheers.

Featured Russian Media: Kolobok

Today I'm sharing with you something M showed me some time ago.  It is a cartoon of a popular story of Kolobok *call-ah-bok* (small round bun) who runs away from home and has to survive using his singing ability to avoid being eaten.

To call someone a Kolobok generally is to call them unattractively fat, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you were jokingly referring to yourself.

Recommended Viewing for Beginners

This post is a compilation of media that I have found useful over my journey.  For me, it really started at with Steve "The Professor" Neese's now-deleted website, but there is still a lot of good material to be had for free.

Happier Abroad (by Winston Wu):
http://www.happierabroad.com/articles.php

Winston seems to have the anti-American slant a lot of ex-pats share.  His forum is kind of reminds me of a watering hole for 90s and millenial bridehunters.  A lot of people don't seem to like him for a number of reasons that may or may not be true, but I've never met/talked to the guy.  The important thing is that site has a lot of good material.

Western Women Suck:
www.westernwomensuck.com

A fairly active community of regulars (including myself) point out the absurdities of the women in western society while dispensing knowledge of the dating process in Eastern European countries.  It's run by Scott.  One of the reasons I started this blog, aside from the more personal theme I have going on, is the shock value of the website title.  It's effective, but the message of support I have for the community is not conveyed if I simply told them the name of the site.

Mark Davis:

Mark's Vimeo Channel:
https://vimeo.com/dreamconnections/videos/sort:date

Mark's Video Youtube Channel:
https://www.youtube.com/user/iDatingSuccess/videos?sort=dd&shelf_id=1&view=0

If you let him, he will stick you in a room full of women you don't know just like the "romance tours" of old.  Unlike them, however, he's much more personally invested to the cause.  With HUNDREDS of hours of presentations it's hard to think of anyone who has made a bigger contribution to the world of international dating.

The last I knew, he had a direct public line for people to his cell phone and spends a few hours every morning answering e-mails from guys himself.  As its gotten bigger I don't know how he's kept sane because there are some really weird and disturbed people who look into going overseas as well as the normal guys and I know I couldn't personally put up with the strange that he must go through.

Some of his videos are a little dated, but most of the content is still good, especially where it comes to preparing yourself to going overseas.

If you want to start somewhere, I'd start here:  http://www.dreamconnections.com/friends-and-family-temp

TribeTalk:
 https://hu265.infusionsoft.com/app/orderForms/Inner-Circle-Monthly-Membership

Another product of Mark Davis, it's his take at trying to build a community of men who are actively wanting to participate.  The highlight of this "Inner Circle" is the Tribetalk open forum which will, in theory, only feature people that are not him.  Having helped host it in the past rendition, I can say that this is probably what is going to happen.  Whether it's worth $29 a month is up to you, though.  Hopefully it will keep the knuckleheads away (a problem we had last time) and there will be enough consistent fresh people to provide new shared content.  I might sign up for a month myself just to participate on and off.

If you were looking for a place to meet people to actively network with, this would be the place I'd start.

Here's a recording of their first revamp (last Monday): https://vimeo.com/166033583  It will be interesting if I can continue to find the recordings for free.

That's all I've got for now.  Does anyone know of more good resources?
